Lugar: San Patricio Plaza
Consola: Wii
Cantidad mínima de jugadores: 32
Cantidad máxima de jugadores: 128
Horario de inscripción: 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.

General Rules
**Breaking any of Gameplay Rules will result in a Forfeit of the Game unless rule specifics apply
Stocks: 3
Time Limit: 8 mins
Items OFF and none
Matches will be 2 out of 3 games. Winner’s, loser’s, and Grand Finals will be 3 out of 5. Semi finals may be 3 out 5 depending on the scale of the event and time available.
No use of Marth’s Grab Release Infinites against Lucas and Ness. Also, no use of King Dedede’s Grab Infinites against Bowser, Donkey Kong, Luigi, Samus, and Mario. Any other Infinite Move must end before the affected Character reaches 300%.
Meta Knight’s Infinite Cape Glitch and Extended Cape Glitch are banned.
Any action that can prevent the game from continuing (i.e., freezing, disappearing characters, game reset, etc.) will result in a forfeit of that match for the player that initiated the action. You are responsible for knowing your own character, and must be wary about accidentally triggering one of these effects.
If the Timer runs out, the winner of the Game will be determined by the following criteria in this order: Stock and Percentage. If Stock is used to determine a winner, the highest number will win. If Percentage is used to determine a winner, the lowest number will win. If both Stock and Percentage are tied, Sudden Death won’t be used and a Tiebreaker Round will be played instead.
In a Tiebreaker Round, Stock will be set to 1, the Timer will be set to 3 Minutes, and the same Stage and Characters must be used. If a 2nd sudden death is reached and it is also a tie, then another 1 stock, 3 minute timer game will be played. If this game ends in tie, the player that did the most damage overall will win the set. Basically a “triple overtime” is the limit.
Bowser/Ganon/Dedede/Kirbyciding- The results of this happening is whatever the game says. Even if the Ganon/DeDeDe/Kirby dies first. If the game reports sudden death, please refer to sudden death procedures (see rule above)
If the Timer runs out and a Player exceeds the Edge Grab Limit for that Game’s Stage, that Player/Team will Forfeit the Game. However, if the Timer runs out and both Players in a 1v1 Match, or both Teams, exceed the Edge Grab Limit for that Game’s Stage, the penalty will not be enforced.
The Edge Grab Limit on all other Stages will be 35. For Tiebreaker Rounds, the Edge Grab Limit will be 20 on all Stages. The Edge Grab Limits only apply to Games/Tiebreaker Rounds in which the Timer runs out. If both players exceed their Ledge Grab Limit, then this rule is ignored.
If a Game is started without the approval of a Referee it will be restarted.
“Continuous Sharking” is banned. This can be denoted as flying under the stage repeatedly with any character that can glide, just to fly back to the other side again without approaching the opponent. First offense will be a warning, 2nd will be a stock, and 3rd will be the game.
Stalling is banned.
Stalling: The act of deliberately avoiding any and all conflict so that one may make the game unplayable. Running away from an opponent to reach a better position is not stalling, while doing an infinite grab endlessly against a wall is. Any infinite chain grabs must end immediately after 300% has been reached so as to prevent excessive stalling.
Match Procedures
Players may request a Blind Pick of Characters for the Game 1 of a Match.
For Game 1 of each Match, the higher seeded (in case of a seeded tournament) Player must strike 2 Stages from the list of Starter Stages. The lower seeded Player must then strike 3 Stages from the list of Starter Stages. The higher seeded Player must then strike 1 more Stage from the remaining Starter Stages leaving 1 stage to play on the first round.
After the Characters and Stage have been selected for Game 1 of a Match, each Player may select one Stage, from the list of Starter Stages or Counter-Pick Stages, that can’t be chosen for the entire set. The lower seeded Player will be given the opportunity to select a Stage first. The higher seeded Player will then be given the opportunity to select a Stage.
The loser of a Game must select the Stage for the next Game. The Stage for Games can be selected from the list of Starter Stages or Counter-Pick Stages. Players may not select a Stage on which they have already won a Game in the Match. However, a player may choose a stage he already won in if the player has won in 3 other stages.
For example if he won in: Final > Yoshi’s > Halberd > Battlefield > May now select Final or any other available stage but not Yoshi’s or Halberd or Battlefield due to them being on cool down> If he won in Final or any other stage available may select Yoshi’s now > etc). This mean a stage you won in has an additional 3 stage wins cool down for it to be available. This is used in case of a long set if it ever happens.
After the Stage for Game has been selected, the winner of the previous Game must select their Character(s), for the upcoming Game, first. The loser of the Game must then choose their Character(s) for the upcoming Game.
Set format (In Order of Procedure):
Players pick character. Double blind pick may be called
Each player may announce one stage to be banned from counterpicks or neutrals for the set
The first game is played on a stage that both players agree on through striking. If both players agree to a stage and wish not to strike they may start on that stage.
The loser of the previous match announces the next match’s stage from either the Starter Stage List or the Counter Stage List
The winner of the previous match chooses their character
The loser of the previous match chooses their character
Repeat steps 5-7 for all proceeding matches

Additional Rules
BYOCt (Bring your own controller): Players are expected to bring their own controller and be prepared for every tournament set.
Pausing may be turned off by request and the request cannot be denied. In the event pause is on and is pressed, whether by accident or on purpose, the result will be a loss of the current stock for the perpetrating player.
Determining Player Priority Rule (DPP) – If there is a dispute in controller port selection or initiating Stage Strike use the following method: If players agree to Rock-Paper-Scissors, otherwise it is determined with a coin-flip. The winner shall either elect to have first choice in port selection or first choice in Stage Strike. Whoever does not receive first choice in Port Selection will be compensated with first choice in Stage Striking.
Port slob picks: On a player’s counter pick, that player may opt to redo the port selection process with that player or team picking their port first.
You are responsible for your own controller and name tag. Any malfunctions or errors that occur are your responsibility (including battery issues with a Wii Remote), so bring an extra controller if possible and always check to make sure you’re using the correct settings BEFORE a match is played. If a match is to be restarted due to controller functions, it must be agreed upon by both parties. The opposing party has EVERY RIGHT TO CALL A JUDGE TO DQ YOU FOR PAUSING MID MATCH TO FIX THIS. I recommend X+Y+Start for GC Controllers before each match.
Wiimotes and classic controllers are allowed but we would prefer if you used Gamecube. You are responsible for your controller. Take any necessary actions to prevent interference such as removing batteries. If we find your wiimote has interrupted or impeded a tourney set, you will be disqualified from the event.
Intentional forfeiting, match fixing, splitting, and any other forms of bracket manipulation are not allowed and punishable by the TO.
No substitutions are allowed for singles or doubles.
Disqualification (DQ) Rule: Arriving too late for a match will result in a DQ. Player(s) will have 5 minutes to show up before a loss of the first match. 5 more minutes results in a loss of the set. For doubles, both players on a team need to be present in order to play. TO may decide to change this rule to their preference in their tournament.
The tournament organizer has the right to save/record any tournament match if possible and has the right to upload said match.
Wii Hack Rules
Wii hacks are banned, with the exception of:
1. Infinite Replay
There will only be infinite replays hack on. You can bring your SD but only turn on Infinite replay hack. You should ask before putting your SD card to save matches or to turn on the hack. If you are caught with an SD card without permission or we notice some other hack on, you will lose a match in the brackets. Please find a TO before doing anything related. This rules is to TO discretion meaning that the tournament may allow other hacks.
